“blizzard?”
“eh”
we were housesitting when the power went out around 10 friday night. seeing as that house had a gas cooking stove, we decided to wait there and hope the power wouldn’t take more than 12 hours or so to come back. we had turned up the heat beforehand to warm the house, snuggled under a lot of blankets all night, and breakfasted on coffee and omelets before deciding that it wouldn’t be long before the house was just too cold.
mark borrowed the truck and test drove home, where there was no power, but at least our woodstove. we (thomas, mark, our dog, their two dogs, and me) made the trip(s) home and settled back in our own cozy living room. the power came back early this morning. there’s 2-3 feet of snow out there, with a good layer of ice at the bottom of it all.
we kept the little man bundled up through it all. i don’t think he noticed a thing.

I/we thought of you often from the sunny south and wished Icould have sent some of the 60 degree weather up to you and Thomas. Glad you made it through ok. Luv Thomas’s winter clothes. I still carry an extra coat and blanket in the trunk,Luv, Dad /Grandpa Brown
